Blow the bloody doors ahff...

It is fair to say that rock outfit Blow are still in their early stages where buying copies of their music is concerned. However, in terms of gigging like mad, actually enjoying gigging like mad and putting an actual effort into finding their sound their way ahead in the race. However, some biography and background for us to steal and re-word would have been grand, Blow don’t do that sort of thing you see so we are now about to make one up - feel free to steal it and re-word it for your own purpose boys.

So, Edinburgh based and gigging Blow are a three-piece mainly rock based outfit and are very promising. If you listened to them on Spotify (you can’t listen to them on Spotify so don’t hover over the word getting your hopes up for a link) it would helpfully suggest ‘related’ artists you may like. We imagine this list would consist of: Muse, Placebo, Joy Division, Red Hot Chili Peppers, T.Rex, The Libertines, Audioslave and Kasabian. If you can’t stand any of these bands either alone or as a mish-mash of sound we strongly suggest you just give up reading any further because you’ll be disappointed, maybe even annoyed and it’ll get awkward. If, however you DO indeed like the sounds coming out of any of those suggested ‘similar artists’ then click HERE and listen to Blow on their Soundcloud collection. Pretty good eh? (Well BLOW me, their great! etcetc) Our current favourites are Choice and Bad Assassin.

This is Blow, playing a t-shirts optional event...

These lads do it all themselves and in some cases it shows in their recordings but they certainly aren’t bad, sure the sound could be reigned in at some points and evened out a bit but that all comes with experience and re-records. It’s not like their charging for these recordings up online – if you love a freebie and good music, do download the Soundcloud MP4s. Yes, MP4s don’t open automatically in iTunes blah blah blah stop complaining and start listening. If you DO want to support them by maybe throwing some money at their musical cause then like their Facebook page HERE and you’ll get all the gig and general band updates you need. Plus, they never over-clog your newsfeed with useless and shite musings which is nice of them isn’t it?

They tick all our boxes, let’s hope they tick yours.
