The sly fox of the 'Burgh

Listening blindfolded to Becca Fox you’d be forgiven for thinking she is America’s latest RnB based songstress with a bunch of record company money behind her. But NO she’s genuine, home-grown and not to forget extremely hardworking talent. You don’t get recordings like Dangerous, her first official single release by sitting on your arse all day hoping the storyline of Coyote Ugly is actually true and the billion dollar contracts just gonna chap on your door... You can listen to that here by the way.

This is a picture of Becca, holding up a door frame. We like to think she's the sort of nice girl who would do that for someone struggling to keep their door up.

If sleek, harmless pop isn’t your bag don’t write Ms.Fox off quite yet she can do acoustic too – yes she can actually sing! (ROUND OF APPLAUSE). Check out her YouTube channel for this action with covers ranging from The Script to Pixie Lott as well as live performances of original work. We beg you to take a listen without either falling head over heels or at least enjoying it slightly... there’s no way anyone with ears could outright DISLIKE her voice and tunes, at the worst you might just hate singer-songwriters from Edinburgh named Becca. In that case you’ll never be convinced. Plus, over 1000 Facebook fans can’t be wrong.

Anyway back to the good stuff – Becca is currently unsigned (WE DON’T KNOW WHY) and describes herself as soul, acoustic, RnB and soul however we’re sticking with our Popular RnB definition for the moment. Hailing from Edinburgh she regularly plays live in both the capital and Glasgow so if you ever get the chance we highly recommend you go and see her, we’ve seen her play live and spent the performance asking WHY SOMEONE isn’t just throwing ten grand at her and seeing what happens. With all the sass of Beyonce but the writing potential of Lauryn Hill, this girls one to look out for on your travels and if you don’t travel at least make the effort to download her bloody stuff eh? An action which you can do here - go on, you've been illegally downloading for years ONE 79p purchase won't hurt you.
